Garden tractor
A garden tractor takes a lot of maintenance in order to keep it smoothly
running. Included below are some tips that you can use to ensure tractor
longevity:
• A drop of oil will do it - Putting a drop of oil on each and
every nut, screw, and bolt will go a long way in helping to ensure that
parts do not corrode, rust or dry up to the point where it does not
function properly. If you take the few minutes to do this every few
months, you will see that any repairs you may need to do in the future
will be much easier.
• Grease it often - Greasing all of the parts often will help
to ensure that there is no unnecessary friction on the moveable parts
of the machine. Any undue friction causes damages because it creates
sometimes a burning or scrubbing that should not be there. By simply
applying grease every once in a while you can avoid many of these problems.
• Wash off the grass - Wet grass stuck to the metal parts and
blades is an environment that breeds rust and corrosion. After each
time the tractor is used, blades should be cleaned of any loose or caked-on
grass with either a hose or pressure washer.
• Keep it out of the weather - If you store your garden tractor
in an area where it will be out of the elements, it will stay in good
shape much longer. By allowing things like rain and winds to beat upon
your mower, you may soon find you have a lot more problems than you
might expect.
By doing these simple things with your garden tractor, you will soon
see how much it can help keep your equipment in good shape.
